3 . Storage and storage of resin
Appropriate measures should be taken during storage to prevent the resin from losing water, freezing and heating, and becoming moldy, otherwise it will affect the stability of the resin, reduce its service life, and reduce its performance.
1. Prevent resin from losing water
The new resin leaving the factory is wet, and its moisture content is saturated, so the resin should be prevented from losing water during transportation and storage. If the resin is found to be dry, do not soak the resin directly in water, but soak it in saturated saline water to make the resin expand slowly, and then gradually dilute the salt solution.
2. Prevent resin from freezing and heating
The temperature of resin is not easy to be too high or too low during storage, and its ambient temperature should generally be 5~40°C. If the temperature is too high, the resin is easy to deteriorate and exchange groups decompose. If it is below 0°C, the volume of the resin will expand due to the freezing of water in the resin mesh, causing the resin to swell and crack.
3. Storage and packaging
This product is packaged in plastic woven bags, each bag is 25kg, and can also be packaged in other containers according to needs, this product is non-dangerous goods. Unused resin should keep the outer packaging bag intact to avoid rupture and direct exposure of the resin to air. At the same time, the resin should avoid direct contact with iron containers, oxidants and oils to prevent the resin from being contaminated or oxidized and degraded, resulting in resin deterioration.
4. Storage date
The resin should not be stored for too long, preferably not more than two years. The principle of buying and using should be adopted to avoid the storage time of resin for too long, which will affect the performance of resin. In particular, anion exchange resins may significantly reduce the exchange capacity of resins due to the decomposition of exchange groups.
